Stud Owner's Description

The Urangara Stud was established in 1993 by John and Leanne Huf with the purchase of ewes and rams from Nareeb Nareeb. Poll Merino breeding began in 2014 with the purchase of pure poll ewes from Fernleigh and Panorama. The poll stud was registered in 2020. Main sires in use are from Glenlea Park Poll and Stockman Poll. Micron range 18.5 - 19.5u but visually bold medium wools Stud classer, Rob Russell, has helped to soften the wools, breed deep crimping wools while maintaining the large square frames that Urangara Poll sheep are known for. Urangara Poll sells around 60 rams a year
