This  stud  was  originally  founded  in  1917  by  G.G.  Davidson  with  500  ewes  purchased  from  F.S.  Falkiner  &  Sons,  "Tuppal",  Tocumwal,  NSW.  The  sheep  at  "Tuppal"  were  solely  Boonoke  Flk  No  7  bred.  G.G.Davidson  conducted  the  CONGOU,  Flk  No  956  on  Boonoke  bloodlines  continuously  until  his  death  in  1951  when  it  passed  into  the  ownership  of  his  daughter  Joan  Gibb  and  her  husband  Kenneth  Gibb,  trading  as  KJ  &  J  Gibb.  This  partnership  introduced  BUNDEMAR  Flk  No  11  bloodlines  through  numerous  ram  purchases  in  the  1950s  &  1960s.  The  stud  registration  lapsed  in  1988,  however  breeding  continued  uninterrupted  as  a  nucleus  ram  breeding  flock  each  year  under  the  management  of  J.D.  Gibb,  son  of  Kenneth  and  Joan  Gibb.  During  the  1990's  and  2000s  a  number  of  infusions  of  purple  Manderley  blood  were  introduced.  The  CONGOU  Flk  No  5099  was  registered  in  January  2016  by  JD  Gibb  Pty  Ltd  atf  Congou  Trust  after  the  inspection  in  2014  and  transfer  of  82  ewes  from  the  Congou  flock  judged  as  suitable  for  stud  registration;  the  purchase  of  47  ewes  (in  2013)  from  Middleview  Poll  Merino  Flk  No.  1362;  149  ewes,  52  ewe  lambs,  2  rams  (UARDRY  Flk  No  79  bred)  and  7  ram  lambs  from  Glenhaven  Park  Merino  Flk  No.  2814;  and  2  ewes  and  10  ram  lambs  from  One  Oak  Merino  Flk  No  2251.  In  2014  one  ram  was  also  purchased  from  each  of  the  following  studs:  from  Wanganella  Merino  Flk  No.  83;  Glen  Donald  Merino  Flk  No.  3543;  Towalba  Merino  Flk  No.  3836;  and  2  rams  from  Westray  Merino  Flk  No.  3007.  Resigned  December  2017
