History
This  stud  was  founded  in  March  1979  by  Eric  F  Smith  and  Co.,  with  the  purchase  of  52  mixed  age  ewes  from  POOGINOOK  FN788  which  were  joined  with  2  rams  from  LOWANNA  FN3008.  BF  &  FC  Smith  took  the  stud  over  in  1993.  In  1995  the  name  changed  to  BF  Smith  only.  In  December  2003,  the  ST  QUENTIN  stud,  consisting  of  24  rams,  1300  ewes,  1000  ewe  lambs  and  5900  semen  doses  was  purchased  by  Mitchell  Crosby  trading  as  GR  &  C  Crosby  and  amalgamated  with  his  stud,  BALCATHRING,  F.  No.  4966,  consisting  of  2  rams,  85  ram  lambs,  200  ewes  and  85  ewe  lambs.  The  amalgamated  studs  operate  under  the  ST  QUENTIN  stud  name  and  flock  number  and  are  located  at  Nyabing.  In  2005  the  trading  name  changed  to  Rossdean  Partners.  In  2009  the  trading  name  changed  from  Rossdean  Partners  to  M.D.  &  M.J.  Crosby,  and  then  changed  back  to  Rossdean  Partners  in  2011  with  Scott  Crosby  as  studmaster.
