This  stud  was  founded  in  1953  by  WJ  Taylor  and  his  Son,  GW  Taylor  by  the  transfer  of  40  poll  rams  and  132  ewes  from  MIOURDING  FN505.  These  ewes  were  the  progeny  of  a  sport  ram  bred  in  MIOURDING  FN505  in  1950.  Following  the  death  of  WJ  Taylor  in  1963  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  his  widow,  Mrs  NG  Taylor  and  son  GW  Taylor.  On  the  death  of  Mrs  NG  Taylor  the  stud  was  carried  on  by  her  son  GW  Taylor.  In  March  1986  DK  &  LM  Carew-Reid  purchased  the  entire  stud.  In  1993,  the  stud  was  leased  to  AC  &  GC  Lock.  In  March  1999  the  stud  name  was  changed  to  MORRELL  ALLEY  WEST  POLL.  Resigned  as  at  December  2000.
