The  foundation  of  this  stud  was  laid  by  WJ  Taylor  in  1924  by  the  purchase  of  20  ewes  and  1  ram  from  WANGANELLA  FN83.  During  1940,  WJ  Taylor  took  his  son,  GW  Taylor  into  partnership.  In  1945  all  sheep  other  than  those  of  BUNGAREE  FN110  blood  were  sold.  Following  the  death  of  WJ  Taylor  in  1962  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  Mrs  NG  Taylor  and  GW  Taylor  trading  as  GW  &  NG  Taylor.  Following  the  death  of  NG  Taylor  the  stud  was  carried  on  by  GW  Taylor.  In  March  1986,  the  entire  stud  was  purchased  by  DK  &  LM  Carew-Reid.  In  1993  the  stud  was  leased  to  AM  &  GC  Lock.  In  March  the  stud  name  was  changed  to  MORRELL  ALLEY  WEST.  Resigned  as  at  December  2000.
