This  stud  was  founded  in  1949  by  IK  Ball  by  the  purchase  of  14  ewes  and  17  ewe  lambs  from  ARNEEN  FN845,  and  1  ram  from  PRIVETT  FN172.  Following  the  death  of  IK  Ball  in  1969,  the  stud  was  carried  on  by  his  Estate.  In  February  1982  the  Estate  was  wound  up  and  the  partnership  was  split  with  the  son,  GB  Ball  forming  a  company  with  a  partnership  consisting  of  Mrs  PF  Ball,  his  mother  Mrs  JA  Ball,  trading  as  GB  Ball  and  Co.  Resigned  July  2005.
