This  stud  was  founded  in  September  1932  by  H  Biggin  by  the  purchase  of  90  ewes  and  2  rams  from  WW  Murray,  GLEN  TURRET  FN243.  In  1954  H  Biggin  took  his  son,  RC  Biggin,  into  partnership.  In  1959  all  Murray  blood  were  disposed  of  and  the  stud  reconstituted  by  the  purchase  of  2  rams,  329  ewes  with  350  lambs  and  the  lease  of  1  ram  from  John  Collins  and  Sons  COLLINSVILLE  FN318.  Following  the  death  of  H  Biggin  in  1976  the  stud  was  carried  on  by  RC  Biggin.  In  1986,  the  stud  commenced  trading  as  Karingal  Merino  Stud  with  the  partnership  of  Mr  &  Mrs  RC  Biggin,  and  Mr  &  Mrs  P  Ardagh.
