This  stud  was  founded  in  1980  by  DA  and  EA  Sawers  by  the  purchase  of  25  ewes  from  CANOWIE  Poll  FN12,  the  transfer  of  75  ewes  from  BANABAN  FN1774,  and  the  purchase  of  2  rams  from  ASHROSE,  Poll  F.No.191.  In  1984  DA  Sawers  purchased  the  shareholding  of  EA  Sawers  and  in  1986  the  stud  was  transferred  to  Coleambally,  NSW.  On  23  October  1989,  Dakin  Nominees  Pty  Ltd  purchased  the  whole  of  the  HYFIELD  Poll  Stud,  FN717,  from  Messrs  DA  &  DL  Sawers  of  Coleambally,  NSW,  and  relocated  the  stud  to  Rathmore,  Kojonup,  WA,  where  it  was  managed  by  Messrs  DA  &  DL  Sawers  from  April  1990.  HYFIELD  POLL  Stud  is  classed  by  Mr  Graham  Holton  and  is  being  maintained  as  a  pure  poll  Merino  line  of  sheep.  In  1992  Kevin  J  Keatley  was  appointed  stud  master/manager.  In  2001,  the  owner's  trading  name  changed  to  Dakin  Farms  Pty  Ltd.  In  February  2009,  the  stud,  consisting  of  34  rams,  2053  ewes,  594  ram  lambs,  806  ewe  lambs  &  1200  semen  doses,  was  purchased  by  Wellard  Agri  Limited.  In  2016  the  company  name  was  changed  to  Giovi  Limited.  This  stud  was  resigned  in  December  2017.
