This  stud  was  founded  in  February  1921  by  JC  Dempster  by  the  purchase  of  64  ewes  and  25  weaners  from  TM  Hawker,  Hawthornden  Estate  Toodyay  which  were  mated  to  a  NORTH  BUNGAREE  FN125,  ram.  In  1940,  JC  Dempster  admitted  his  sons,  NM  and  HP  Dempster  into  partnership  and  the  stud  was  carried  on  under  the  name  of  JC  Dempster  and  Sons.  In  1944,  NM  Dempster  was  killed  in  action  during  World  War  II  and  the  stud  continued  under  the  name  of  JC  Dempster  and  Son.
