History
This  stud  was  founded  in  1958  by  a  partnership  trading  as  HM  Ditchburn  &  Co.,  by  the  purchase  of  1  ram  and  20  ewes  from  RONVILLE  FN1643.  Following  the  death  of  HM  Ditchburn  in  1959  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  his  widow,  Mrs  GA  Ditchburn  and  her  sons,  WR  and  RJ  Ditchburn,  trading  as  Ditchburn  Bros.  In  1976  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  a  family  partnership  trading  as  WR  Ditchburn  &  Co.  Registration  lapsed  in  1980  but  the  stud  continued  to  purchase  rams  including  a  top  sire  from  GLENROY  FN1083,  the  progeny  of  which  are  still  in  use.  The  stud  was  registered  again  in  October  1988  by  WR  Ditchburn  &  Co.,  by  the  purchase  of  1  ram  from  STRATHGLEN  FN3650,  and  370  ewes  from  the  original  GOLDEN  HILL  FN2455.  In  October  2003,  the  ownership  of  the  stud  was  transferred  to  Ross  &  Jodie  Ditchburn  trading  as  RW  &  JM  Ditchburn.  Following  a  registration  lapse  in  2010,  the  stud  was  reinstated  in  November  2011  by  Ross,  Jodie,  Nathan  &  Julie  Ditchburn,  trading  as  previously.
