This  stud  was  founded  in  1943  by  E.D.  Goode  by  the  selection  of  100  ewes  from  THE  SNUGGERY  flock  which  had  its  commencement  in  1921  when  5000  Murray  blood  ewes  and  several  rams  were  purchased  at  the  dispersal  sale  of  T.  Barr  Smith,  The  Hummocks,  Snowtown,  SA,  to  form  a  flock  at  Kooliata,  Snowtown,  SA.  From  1925  to  1932,  rams  and  ewes  were  purchased  from  HIGHLAND  VALLEY,  SA,  F.  No.  117.  The  Kooliata  property  was  sold  in  1928  and  the  sheep  transferred  to  Kingston.  In  1933,  200  BUNGAREE,  F.  No.  110,  blood  ewes  were  purchased  from  Seymour  Bros,  Killanoola,  SA.  Rams  were  purchased  from  BUNGAREE,  F.  No.  110,  EAST  BUNGAREE-BELCUNDA,  F.  No.  115,  NORTH  BUNGAREE,  F.  No.  125,  WHYANDRA,  F.  No.  344,  and  GUM  HILL,  F.  No.  671.  On  1st  July  1951,  E.D.  Goode  took  his  wife,  his  daughter,  Mrs  E.  England,  and  his  son-in-law,  R.  England,  into  partnership  and  the  stud  was  carried  on  by  the  partnership  trading  as  The  Snuggery.  In  1961,  following  the  death  of  E.D.  Goode  and  his  wife,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  R.  England  and  his  wife,  the  partnership  continuing  under  the  same  name.  In  1982,  R.  and  N.S.  England  took  their  son  and  daughter-in-law,  C.E.  and  E.J.  England,  into  The  Snuggery  partnership.  In  2002,  following  the  death  of  R.  England,  the  ownership  is  now  with  N.S.,  C.E.  and  E.J.  England,  trading  as  The  Snuggery  partnership.  This  stud  was  resigned  in  August  2017.
