This  stud  was  founded  in  January,  1990,  by  Frank  Bawden  and  A.B.  &  J.T.  Mills  by  the  purchase  of  1  ram  from  OLD  ASHROSE,  F.  No.  3762,  and  100  ewes  from  CARUNNA,  F.  No.  580.  In  1997  F.  Bawden  and  JT  Mills  relinquished  their  share  of  the  partnership,  and  changed  the  stud  name  from  BURRAWING  to  THE  RIVER.  Resigned  13/7/00.
