This  stud  was  founded  in  October,  1976,  by  James  Vandeleur  &  Son  Pty.  Ltd.  by  the  lease  of  1  ram  and  the  purchase  of  60  ewes,  20  of  which  were  in-lamb,  from  MOUNT  GLEN  VIEW,  SA,  Poll  F.  No.  78.  In  1991,  the  stud  was  purchased  by  J.  &  J.A.  Vandeleur  and  600  ewes  from  RICES  CREEK,  F.  No.  714,  transferred  to  RICES  CREEK,  Poll  F.  No.  592.  In  2004  the  trading  name  changed  to  Vandeleur  Rural  Holdings  Pty.  Ltd.
