This  stud  was  founded  in  1992  following  the  division  of  NORTH  BUNGAREE  Stud,  with  M.C.S.  Hawker  taking  over  the  stud  Merino  flock  and  his  sister,  M.E.B.  Hawker,  assuming  control  of  all  the  Poll  breeding  stock  to  form  the  WEST  BUNGAREE  Poll  Stud.  The  Poll  Merino  Stud  was  founded  in  July,  1955  by  the  Estate  of  M.S.  Hawker  by  the  transfer  of  220  selected  ewes  from  NORTH  BUNGAREE,  F.  No.  125,  and  the  purchase  of  2  rams  from  FLAIRVILLE,  SA,  Poll  F.  No.  15.  In  July  1994,  the  studname  changed  to  North  Bungaree.  Resigned  August  2001.
