This  stud  was  founded  in  September,  1996,  by  Niel  P.  Smith,  trading  as  Calcookara  Stud  Pty  Ltd,  following  the  re-organisation  of  the  M.G.  Smith  &  Sons  partnership,  with  40  rams,  650  in-lamb  ewes,  245  ram  lambs  and  215  ewe  lambs  being  a  half  share  of  GLENVILLE-CALCOOKARA,  F.  No.  2583.  At  the  same  time,  2  rams  purchased  in  1994  from  ROSEVILLE  PARK,  F.  No.  4166,  were  taken  into  the  stud.  In  2003  the  trading  name  changed  to  N.P.  &  C.P.,  B.N.  &  P.J.  Smith.  In  January  2019  this  stud  was  resigned  with  150  ewes  transferred  to  Poll  Flk  No.  1336.Calcookara
