This  stud  was  founded  in  January,  1961,  by  W.R.  and  Mrs  D.J.  West  by  the  transfer  of  30  ewes  from  CABLE  BRIDGE,  F.  No.  1734.  These  ewes  were  mated  with  a  ram  leased  from  CLIFTON  DOWNS,  SA,  Poll  F.  No.  107.  In  1971,  the  son,  G.R.  West,  and  in  1973  his  wife,  Mrs  R.E.  West,  were  taken  into  the  partnership.  In  1989,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  G.R.  and  R.E.  West.  In  2002,  the  stud  destocked,  lambs  are  embryo  transfers  from  recipient  ewes  by  Cable  Bridge  donor  rams.  In  In  October  2010  the  stud,  consisting  of  2  rams,  152  ewes,  40  ram  lambs  &  50  ewe  lambs,  was  purchased  by  Rodney  &  Tracey  Willmott,  trading  as  R.F.  &  T.J.  Willmott  and  moved  from  Kangaroo  Island  to  Lucindale.  In  August  2011  the  stud  name  was  changed  from  CABLE  BRIDGE  POLL  to  HANOOKRA  POLL.  This  stud  was  resigned  in  Feb  2017.
