This  stud  was  founded  in  November,  1951,  by  W.R.  West  by  the  purchase  of  1  ram  and  69  ewes  from  MOUNT  MILLAR,  SA,  F.  No.  920.  D.J.  West  was  taken  into  partnership  in  1969.  G.R.  West  was  taken  into  the  partnership  in  1971,  and  his  wife,  Mrs  R.E.  West,  in  1973.  In  1978,  the  whole  of  the  BUCKLAND  DOWNS,  F.  No.  1976,  sheep  were  purchased,  comprising  37  rams  and  820  ewes,  and  will  run  as  a  second  flock  within  the  stud.  In  October  1985,  the  entire  COLLINSVILLE  section  of  the  stud  was  dispersed.  In  1989,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  G.R.  and  R.E.  West.  In  2002,  the  stud  de-stocked,  lambs  are  embryo  transfer  from  recipient  ewes  by  Cable  Bridge  donor  rams.  In  October  2010  the  stud,  consisting  of  2  rams,  144  ewes,  40  ram  lambs  &  55  ewe  lambs,  was  purchased  by  Rodney  &  Tracey  Willmott,  trading  as  R.F.  &  T.J.  Willmott  and  moved  from  Kangaroo  Island  to  Lucindale.  In  August  2011  the  stud  name  was  changed  from  CABLE  BRIDGE  to  HANOOKRA.  This  stud  was  resigned  in  Feb  2017.
