This  stud  was  founded  in  1945  by  M.J.  McCarthy  by  the  transfer  of  43  rams,  722  ewes  and  24  lambs  from  BROADVIEW,  SA,  F.  No.  317.  All  rams  and  ewes  are  BROADVIEW  blood  with  the  exception  of  one  BUNGAREE,  F.  No.  110,  ram  purchased  in  1943  and  one  NORTH  BUNGAREE,  F.  No.  125,  ram  purchased  in  1944.  Following  the  death  of  M.J.  McCarthy  in  1967,  the  stud  was  carried  on  by  his  estate.  Resigned  March  2002.
