This  stud  was  founded  in  1937  when  R.W.  Dawson  acquired  532  ewes  representing  1/6th  of  the  Mamora  Pastoral  Co.  Ltd.  flock.  The  early  history  of  the  Mamora  flock  is  not  known.  Originally  only  WANGANELLA,  F.  No.  83,  blood  was  used,  rams  being  introduced  from  WILLANDRA,  NSW,  F.  No.  87.  In  1926,  230  ewes  were  purchased  from  WANGANELLA,  NSW,  F.  No.  83.  3  rams  purchased  in  1934  and  1  in  1936  from  HADDON  RIG,  F.  No.  48,  were  added  to  the  stud.  On  1st  July  1958,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  a  company  trading  as  Yarnel  Pastoral  Co.  Resigned  June  2004.
