This  stud  was  founded  in  1945  by  F.W.  Nivison  by  the  purchase  of  2  rams  from  MIRANI,  NSW,  F.  No.  732,  and  the  selection  of  50  ewes  from  the  YALGOO  flock,  the  progeny  of  the  OHIO  flock  owned  by  J.A.  Nivison,  Walcha,  NSW.  On  the  latter's  death  in  1913,  the  OHIO  flock  was  acquired  by  Nivison  Bros,  and  on  the  dissolution  of  the  partnership  in  1922,  F.  W.  Nivison  took  his  share  to  form  the  YALGOO  flock.  In  1934,  RAVENSWORTH,  F.  No.  594,  rams  were  introduced  and  in  1936,  MIRANI,  F.  No.  732,  rams  were  used.  The  OHIO  flock  was  founded  in  1868  by  J.A.  Nivison  on  rams  purchased  from  W.  Gibson,  Scone,  Epping,  Tas  (see  reference  flock  )  and  C.B.  Grubb,  Strathroy,  Young  Town,  Tas.  After  the  death  of  F.W.  Nivison  in  1947,  the  YALGOO  flock  was  carried  on  by  his  executors  until  1971  when  it  was  taken  over  by  the  Yalgoo  Partnership.
