This  stud  was  founded  in  1929  by  N.E.  Lane  by  the  selection  of  100  ewes  from  WAMBANGALANG  flock,  consisting  of  2,000  ewes.  These  ewes  were  joined  to  EGELABRA,  F.  No.  32,  rams.  The  flock  was  commenced  about  1867  by  E.H.  Lane,  the  actual  origin  is  unknown,  but  selected  ewes  were  sent  to  N.P.  Bayly,  'Lawson  Estate',  Mudgee,  NSW,  (see  HAVILAH,  F.  No.  578).  In  1899,  the  flock  was  taken  over  by  E.  Lane's  son,  Norman  Lane,  and  from  that  time  until  1907,  HAZELDEAN,  F.  No.  383,  rams  were  used.  From  1907,  EGELABRA,  F.  No.  32,  rams  were  used.  The  stud  was  taken  over  by  Norman  Lane's  sons,  A.S.  and  J.  Lane,  in  1951.  In  1987,  150  ewes  were  transferred  from  the  flock  to  the  stud.  Resigned  7/4/2000.
