This  stud  was  founded  in  October,  1981  by  A.J.  &  J.L.  McCormack  by  the  purchase  of  2  rams  from  LOCHNESS,  F.  No.  1110,  and  50  ewes  from  TULANGI,  F.  No.  996.  In  2013  ownership  changed  to  A.J.  &  A.J.  McCormack  trading  as  Walwa  Merino  Stud.
