This  stud  was  founded  in  1949  by  the  Undabri  Pastoral  Co.  by  the  purchase  of  sheep  from  WYAGA,  F.  No.  863,  OAKHURST,  F.  No.  1429,  and  other  flocks  in  the  district.  UMBERCOLLIE,  F.  No.  99,  blood  rams  were  used,  purchased  from  the  TEELABAR  stud.  In  1953,  ewes  were  purchased  from  UMBERCOLLIE  and  mated  to  rams  of  the  same  breeding.  The  Teelabar  property  was  purchased  in  1967.  In  1976,  8  rams  and  70  ewes  were  purchased  from  COLLINSVILLE,  SA,  F.  No.  318.  Registration  was  approved  following  inspection  by  the  Queensland  Merino  Stud  Sheepbreeders'  Association  in  March,  1978.  In  2000,  the  trading  name  changed  to  Sylvester  Farming  Trust.  Resigned  June  2008.
