This  stud  was  founded  in  1864  when  Wragge  and  Hearn,  who  then  owned  UARDRY,  purchased  5000  ewes  and  a  number  of  rams  from  WANGANELLA,  NSW.  These  sheep  were  taken  to  UARDRY  early  in  January,  1865  and  in  the  same  year  a  number  of  the  best  were  selected.  The  stud  and  property  was  purchased  by  Charles  Mills  in  1876.  Charles  Mills  floated  the  company  known  as  Charles  Mills  (Uardry)  Ltd.  in  1915.  In  1973,  the  descendants  of  Charles  Mills  sold  their  interests  to  Mr.  &  Mrs.  L.B.  Black  and  family.  They  continued  to  trade  under  the  name  of  Charles  Mills  (Uardry)  Pty.  Ltd.  On  the  30/10/12,  the  stud  was  purchased  by  Tom  Brinkworth  trading  as  Watervalley  Pty  Ltd.  The  stud  was  dispersed  in  December  2012  and  resigned  in  May  2013.
