This  stud  was  founded  in  1937  by  W.G.  Morris  by  the  purchase  of  80  in-lamb  ewes  from  WILLANDRA,  NSW,  F.  No.  87,  to  which  was  added  1  ram  acquired  from  the  same  stud  in  1934.  Following  the  death  of  W.G.  Morris  in  1958,  the  stud  was  carried  on  under  the  name  of  the  Sunset  Estate  by  R.  Morris.  On  1st  July  1989,  Rex  Morris's  wife,  Beth,  joined  the  partnership  trading  as  Sunset  Estate.  In  November  1991,  the  partnership  was  changed  to  Ralph  and  his  wife,  Ruth,  and  Rex  and  his  wife,  Beth,  Morris.  On  1st  September  2004,  the  trading  name  changed  from  Sunset  Merino  Stud  to  Sunset  Morris  Partners.  Resigned  February  2006.
