This  stud  was  founded  in  February,  1960,  by  Mrs.  A.  D.  Nicolson  by  the  purchase  of  16  ewes  from  WINTON,  Tas,  F.  No.  Tas  1,  and  6  ewes  from  KENILWORTH,  Tas,  F.  No.  16.  All  these  ewes  were  drowned  in  April  1960,  except  5  WINTON  bred  ewes.  In  the  same  year,  Mrs.  Nicolson  received  a  gift  of  ewes  from  Mrs.  G.  W.  Keach  which  were  mated  with  a  ram  leased  from  WINTON.  The  stud  was  originally  registered  under  F.  No.  3432.  In  1976,  1  ram  and  59  ewes  were  purchased  at  the  dispersal  sale  of  LOCHIEL-CHARLTON  stud  and  were  of  great  benefit  to  the  stud.  Following  the  death  of  Mrs.  Nicolson,  in  1997  her  son  John  Andrew  Nicolson  became  the  owner.

This  stud  was  resigned  on  4  September  2016.
