This  stud  was  founded  in  April,  1952  by  C.  Pike  and  his  son,  R.C.  Pike,  by  the  purchase  of  1  ram  and  57  ewes  from  WINBRI,  NSW,  F.  No.  571,  to  which  was  added  a  ram  purchased  from  the  same  stud  in  1951.  In  1964,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  N.J.  Pike.  In  1982,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  D.J.  Pike.  In  April  1995,  all  Buttabone  Stud  Park  progeny  were  removed  to  commercial  flock.  Resigned  January  2006.
