History
This  stud  was  founded  in  1969  by  R.B.  Ritchie  &  Son  Pty  Ltd.,  by  the  purchase  of  1  ram  and  311  ewes  from  CHATSWORTH  HOUSE,  Vic,  F.  No.  2734.  The  stud  traded  as  BLACKWOOD,  F.  No.  3412  until  1986  when  the  flock  was  transferred  to  SATIMER  MERINO  STUD,  F.  No.  4161.  In  1991  two  thirds  of  the  SATIMER  flock  was  owned  by  J.B.R.  &  S.  Speirs.  One  third  of  the  SATIMER  flock  was  transferred  to  GUMBOUGH  Poll  owned  by  W.A.  &  P.S.  Speirs.  Resigned  September  2006.
