This  stud  was  founded  in  1964  by  B.G.  Forrest  and  his  wife,  Mrs.  L.M.  Forrest,  by  the  selection  of  80  ewes  from  the  ROSSTULLA  flock,  and  1  ram  from  MERRYVILLE,  F.  No.  56.  The  ROSSTULLA  flock  was  commenced  by  the  late  B.G.  Forrest  Snr.  about  1910  with  ewes  from  MULWALA,  F.  No.  62,  and  rams  from  WANGANELLA  ESTATE,  F.  No.  84.  B.G.  Forrest  Jnr.  took  over  the  flock  in  1944.  From  1950  to  1963,  rams  used  were  obtained  from  MERRYVILLE,  F.  No.  56.  Rosstulla  Partnership  purchased  B.G.  &  L.M.  Forrest's  interest  as  at  31.12.89  now  run  by  Barrie  G.  and  Rex  M.  Forrest  (sons  of  B.G.  &  L.M.  Forrest).  In  1998  the  owners  name  changed  to  Rosstula  Holdings.
