This  stud  was  founded  in  1857  when  Mr.  H.J.  Collins  purchased  half  of  the  flock  belonging  to  BECKWORTH  COURT,  Vic,  F.  No.  1166,  comprising  2  rams  and  39  ewes.  These  sheep  were  direct  descendants  of  the  CAMDEN  PARK  sheep  (see  Reference  Flock).  In  1846,  the  Hon.  W.  Campbell  acquired  several  rams  and  150  ewes  from  CAMDEN  PARK  flock  and  took  them  to  Strathloddon  in  Victoria.  Mr.  Campbell,  between  that  year  and  1857,  ran  the  sheep  on  various  properties  in  Victoria  and  NSW.  In  1857,  he  sold  the  complete  flock  to  Messrs.  Griffith  and  Greene  and  a  short  while  later  the  flock  was  obtained  by  Mr.  C.  Knight  who  took  them  into  his  property,  DUNMORE.  They  were  repurchased  by  Griffith  and  Greene  and  transferred  to  GLENMORE,  Bacchus  Marsh,  Vic.  In  1873,  the  Hon.  William  Campbell  again  became  the  owner  of  the  stud  and,  following  the  sale  of  his  Auchmore  property,  moved  them  to  Booligal,  NSW.  The  severe  drought  reduced  the  flock  numbers  from  about  3000  to  160.  In  July  1900,  the  complete  flock  was  purchased  by  Mr.  T.  Shaw  of  Woorewyrite.  They  were  then  purchased  by  Sir  Samuel  Wilson  and  taken  to  'Ercildoune',  Burrumbeet,  Vic.  This  property  and  the  sheep  were  purchased  in  1922  by  Sir  Allan  Currie.  The  late  Mr.  W.  Buckland  became  the  owner  of  the  flock  in  1933.  His  stud  was  registered  in  1944,  but  registration  was  later  cancelled.  The  only  additions  made  were  several  rams  purchased  from  CAMDEN  PARK  from  1846  to  1850.  In  1979,  the  ownership  was  changed  to  Hugh  J.,  M.  and  S.  Collins.  Following  the  death  of  Hugh  J.  Collins  in  December  1991,  ownership  changed  to  Michael  G.R.  &  Sue  E.  Collins.
