In  1829,  the  Kermode  family  of  Mona  Vale,  Ross,  established  a  Merino  stud  with  pure  Saxon  Merinos  purchased  from  the  V.D.L.  Co.,  who  had  imported  them  from  Saxony.  E.N.  Cameron  bought  Mona  Vale  in  1905  together  with  some  of  the  stud  sheep.  He  combined  them  with  his  own  Saxon  Merino  Stud  at  Ellerslie,  Conara,  founded  in  1890  on  BELLEVUE  and  FORDON  bloodlines.  The  stud  was  later  transferred  to  Mona  Vale  and  has  been  in  the  Cameron  family  since  1905.  From  1911  to  1978,  additions  were  made  from  St.  Johnstone,  WINTON,  F.  No.  TAS  1,  and  SIERRA  PARK,  F.  No.  1742.  On  the  death  of  D.A.  Cameron  in  1979,  E.A.  Cameron  took  over  the  stud  in  family  partnership  and  has  purchased  25  stud  ewes  from  TREFUSIS,  F.  No.  TAS  13,  and  a  stud  ram  from  SIERRA  PARK,  F.  No.  1742,  in  partnership  with  CONNORVILLE,  F.  No.  TAS  10.  Resigned  June  2010.
