History
This  stud  was  founded  in  June,  1957,  by  the  late  A.S.  Nivison  by  the  selection  of  60  ewes  from  MIRANI,  F.  No.  732,  and  the  purchase  of  1  ram  from  MERRYVILLE,  NSW,  Poll  F.  No.  223.  The  stud  was  transferred  to  P.M.  Nivison  in  1958  who  selected  ewes  from  his  own  flock  which  he  had  commenced  in  1954  with  the  purchase  of  rams  and  ewes  from  his  father.  Following  the  death  of  P.M.  Nivison  early  in  1995,  the  stud  is  now  classed  in  partnership  by  his  sons,  Hugh  (H.P.)  and  Tim  (T.S.)  Nivison,  trading  as  Mirani  Pty.  Ltd.
