Although  established  in  1947  by  Thirkell-Johnston  and  Co  by  the  purchase  of  1  ram  and  14  ewes  from  VALLEYFIELD,  F.  No.  Tas.  9,  this  stud  was  not  registered  until  1980.  In  1949,  1  ram  was  leased  from  KENNILWORTH,  F.  No.  Tas.  16.  From  1953  to  1979,  19  rams  were  purchased  from  VALLEYFIELD,  F.  No.  Tas.  9,  WINTON,  F.  No.  Tas.  1,  PLEASANT  BANKS,  F.  No.  Tas.  8,  STREANSHALH,  F.  No.  Tas.  30,  and  ROSENEATH,  F.  No.  1497.  From  1951  to  1962,  37  ewes  were  purchased  from  VALLEYFIELD,  F.  No.  Tas.  9,  and  in  1976,  65  ewes  were  purchased  from  CHARLTON,  F.  No.  21.  Resigned  November  2007.
