This  stud  was  founded  in  1951  by  F.S.  Coventry  by  the  purchase  of  1  ram  and  70  ewes  from  MERRYVILLE,  NSW,  F.  No.  56,  and  the  selection  of  50  ewes  from  the  LYNDHURST  flock.  A  ram  purchased  in  1950  from  MERRYVILLE,  F.  No.  56,  was  added  to  the  stud.  Early  details  of  the  LYNDHURST  flock  are  not  known,  but  it  has  been  in  the  possession  of  the  Coventry  family  since  about  1860.  Sheep  from  HAVILAH,  F.  No.  578,  were  from  time  to  time  introduced  and  until  1935  all  rams  used  were  of  HAVILAH  blood.  Since  the  latter  year,  only  MERRYVILLE,  F.  No.  56,  rams  have  been  purchased.  F.S.  Coventry  obtained  portion  of  the  LYNDHURST  flock  in  1948.  In  1957,  F.S.  Coventry  formed  a  company  trading  as  Lynoch  Pty  Ltd.
