This  stud  was  founded  early  in  1950  by  R.W.  and  R.C.  Macarthur  Onslow  by  the  selection  of  187  ewes  from  the  LOONGANA  flock  and  later  in  the  same  year  an  additional  89  ewes  were  selected.  These  ewes  were  mated  with  4  rams  purchased  in  1950  from  BOONOKE,  Poll  F.  No.  1.  The  LOONGANA  flock  has  been  commenced  in  1932  at  'Millambri',  Canowindra,  NSW,  when  2000  ewes  were  purchased  from  BOONOKE,  NSW,  F.  No.  7.  Only  BOONOKE,  Poll  F.  No.  1,  rams  were  used.  In  1948,  20  rams  and  1250  ewes  were  transferred  to  LOONGANA,  Canowindra,  NSW.  In  1965,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  a  Company  trading  as  Macarthur  Pastoral  Co.  Pty.  Ltd.  In  1969,  the  stud  was  moved  to  Walcha  Road.  This  stud  was  resigned  in  December  2014.
