This  stud  was  founded  in  February,  1988,  by  Z.D.  Chambers  by  the  purchase  of  2  rams  and  14  ewes  from  BULLAMALITA,  Poll  F.  No.  224.  37  ewes  from  LOCKLEA  flock  were  chosen  and  approved  by  official  inspection.  In  April  2001,  the  stud,  comprising  151  ewes,  was  purchased  by  Bruce  William  &  Dulcie  Edna  Turton,  trading  as  B.W.  &  D.E.  Turton  and  the  stud  name  was  changed  from  LOCKLEA  POLL  to  OAK  RANGE  POLL  and  moved  from  Bungedore  to  Yass.  Resigned  May  2008.
