History
This  stud  was  founded  about  1912  by  A.S.  Scanes  by  the  purchase  of  200  VALE  VIEW,  F.  No.  573,  blood  ewes.  A  selection  of  these  were  mated  with  a  ram  purchased  from  VALE  VIEW,  NSW,  F.  No.  573.  In  1947,  A.S.  Scanes  admitted  his  son,  A.R.  Scanes,  into  the  partnership  and  in  1950  his  son,  N.S.  Scanes,  was  also  admitted  into  the  partnership,  the  firm  being  carried  on  under  the  name  of  A.S.  Scanes  &  Sons.  N.S.  Scanes  withdrew  from  the  partnership  in  1962.  On  the  death  of  A.S.  Scanes  in  1981,  the  stud  is  now  owned  by  his  son,  A.R.  Scanes.  Resigned  September  2005.
