This  stud  was  founded  in  February,  1960,  by  R.A.  Dowling  by  the  selection  of  200  ewes  from  the  KERI  KERI  flock.  These  ewes  were  mated  with  4  rams  purchased  in  January  1960  from  MOORNA,  NSW,  F.  No.  1343.  A  further  160  ewes  were  selected  from  the  flock  later  in  the  same  year.  The  flock  was  commenced  in  1926  when  a  number  of  ewes  were  purchased  from  Moolpa  Pastoral  Company,  Moulamein,  NSW.  These  ewes  were  mated  with  rams  purchased  from  KALABITY,  SA,  F.  No.  118.  Rams  from  that  stud  were  used  until  1947  since  which  date  rams  used  have  been  obtained  from  MOORNA,  F.  No.  1343.  In  1964,  R.A.  Dowling  formed  a  family  company  which  traded  as  Dowling  (Keri  Keri)  Pastoral  Co.  In  1994  the  trading  name  was  changed  to  Pine  Point  Pty  Ltd.  In  2004  the  trading  name  changed  to  Dowling  Keri  Keri  Pastoral  Co  Pty  Ltd.
