History
This  stud  was  founded  in  1955  by  a  family  partnership,  comprising  D.  Mackay,  his  wife,  son  and  two  daughters,  trading  as  Mackay  &  Mackay,  when  224  ewes  were  selected  from  a  flock  of  about  8000.  The  date  of  the  commencement  of  the  flock  is  not  known,  but  from  1927  only  rams  from  BURRABOGIE,  F.  No.  844,  STRATHDARR,  F.  No.  98,  and  WAHWOON  No.  1,  F.  No.  667,  were  used.  This  stud  was  resigned  in  December  2019.
