This  stud  was  founded  about  1835  by  N.P.  Bayly  who  managed  the  Lawson  Estates  (Mudgee,  N.S.W.)  and  is  stated  to  have  selected  Lawson  sheep  in  lieu  of  salary.  The  Lawson  sheep  were  bred  from  rams  from  King  George  3rd's  Kew  flock,  mated  with  Saxon  ewes.  N.P.  Bayly  made  a  further  purchase  of  pure  ewes  from  the  BURRUNDULLA,  Mudgee,  NSW,  flock.  The  stud  was  acquired  by  Hunter  White  from  H.C.  White  in  1904.  In  1947,  on  the  death  of  Hunter  White,  the  stud  was  acquired  by  his  son,  P.  White.  In  1952,  a  company  trading  as  Havilah  Pty  Ltd  was  formed  and  the  stud  was  carried  on  by  a  partnership  comprising  P.  White  and  the  company.  In  1956,  Havilah  Pty  Ltd  took  complete  control  of  the  stud.  In  1972,  the  control  of  this  stud  was  transferred  from  Havilah  Pty  Ltd  to  the  Galambine  Pastoral  Co,  the  principals  of  which  are  D.H.  White  and  his  wife,  Mrs  E.G.A.  White.  The  latter  company  took  over  all  lambs  and  young  rams,  the  balance  being  held  by  the  original  owners.  Resigned  November  2008.
