This  stud  was  founded  in  October,  1983,  by  a  family  partnership,  trading  as  K.F.,  M.L.  and  R.K.  Schroeder,  by  the  purchase  of  2  rams  and  18  ewes  from  COLLINSVILLE,  Poll  F.  No.  105.  40  ewes  were  transferred  from  GUNALLO,  F.  No.  3727.  In  1995,  the  trading  name  changed  to  Gunallo  Pty.  Ltd.  As  the  SA/Victorian  border  bisects  the  property,  for  practical  reasons,  it  was  decided  that  from  January  2008,  the  registration  be  moved  from  Victoria  to  South  Australia.
