This  stud  was  founded  by  Henry  Dangar  in  the  1830s.  It  is  not  on  record  where  the  Gostwyck  sheep  originally  came  from.  It  is  known,  however,  that  sheep  of  Saxony  origin  were  on  the  property  in  the  late  1830s.  Although  it  continued  to  trade  under  the  Estate  of  C.C.  Dangar,  the  stud  was  owned  by  Mrs  B  Wright  and  Mrs  G  Giblin.  In  1962,  the  name  was  changed  to  Gostwyck  Estates.  In  1969,  the  name  of  the  partnership  was  altered  to  Mrs  N.N.  Wright  and  Deargee  Pastoral  Co  Pty  Ltd.  The  partnership  was  dissolved  in  1971  with  Mrs.  Wright  retaining  the  stud.  The  2  HADDON  RIG  rams  purchased  in  1922,  and  the  whole  of  the  progeny,  both  ewes  and  rams,  were  discarded  and  sold.  Resigned  November  2008.
