This  stud  was  purchased  from  Sir  Samuel  McCaughey  in  1913  by  G.E.  Stuart  Ltd.  During  1908,  ewes  were  purchased  from  HADDON  RIG,  F.  No.  48,  and  WILLANDRA,  F.  No.  87,  and  in  1909  from  DENILIQUIN  STUD  PARK  NORTH,  F.  No.  195,  and  COBRAN,  F.  No.  22.  In  1909,  the  stud  was  reconstructed.  The  ewes  were  then  joined  with  rams  purchased  from  BOONOKE,  F.  No.  7,  WANGANELLA,  F.  No.  83,  WILLANDRA,  F.  No.  87,  HADDON  RIG,  F.  No.  48,  and  MURGHA,  F.  No.  437.  In  1950,  the  property  and  the  bulk  of  the  stud  were  sold  to  Goolgumbla  Pty.  Ltd.  In  1972,  the  ownership  was  changed  to  New  Zealand  and  Australian  Land  Co  Ltd.  In  1979,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  A.E.  Trethowan  Pty  Ltd.  On  31st  July  1986,  Goolgumbla  was  purchased  from  the  Trethowan  family  on  a  walk  in,  walk  out  basis  by  The  Superannuation  Fund  Investment  Trust.  On  29th  January  1999  the  stud  was  purchased  by  the  Rollinson  Family.
