This  stud  was  founded  in  1921  by  A.E.  McDonald  by  the  purchase  of  1  ram  from  BARTON  HILLS,  SA,  F.  No.  519,  and  50  ewes  from  KOO-OWIE,  SA,  F.  No.  325,  and  also  the  progeny  of  100  NALPA  ewes  (see  F.  No.  117)  purchased  in  1921  at  the  dispersal  sale  of  J.  Bond,  'Broughton  Station',  Broughton,  Nhill,  Vic,  which  had  been  mated  with  KOO-OWIE,  F.  No.  325,  rams.  In  January  1974,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  R.J.  Harding,  and  in  1976  he  took  his  brother,  G.P.  Harding,  into  partnership.
