History
This  stud  was  founded  in  July,  1934,  by  Jack  Rayner  with  rams  of  Dalkeith  blood.  Since  1943,  rams  from  BOCOBLE,  F.  No.  1336,  have  been  used.  In  July  1984,  his  family  took  over  the  stud,  trading  as  J.W.  &  R.A.  Rayner,  with  97  ewes  from  GLANNA  flock  which  were  passed  by  official  inspection.  In  1987,  149  ewes  were  transferred  for  the  poll  stud.  On  the  1st  July  1989,  the  ownership  of  the  stud  changed  from  J.W.  and  R.A.  Rayner  to  Mr.  R.A.  and  Mrs.  D.J.  Rayner,  trading  as  the  Glanna  Merino  Stud.  On  the  1st  July  1997,  J.C.  Rayner,  the  son  to  R.A.  &  D.J.  Rayner  was  brought  into  the  Glanna  Merino  Stud  partnership.
