This  stud  was  founded  in  March,  1918,  by  the  Executors  of  G.  Goutts  by  the  purchase  of  1  ram  and  50  ewes  from  COBRAN,  F.  No.  22.  Later  in  the  same  year,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  Coutts  Bros.  In  1919,  4  rams  and  527  ewes  were  purchased  from  STUDLEIGH,  F.  No.  582,  who  had  purchased  them  the  previous  year  from  COBRAN,  F.  No.  22.  The  partnership  of  Coutts  Bros.  was  dissolved  in  1946,  and  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  A.M.  Coutts  and  his  son,  R.A.  Coutts,  trading  as  A.M.  Coutts  &  Son.  This  stud  was  discontinued  Vol.  LII  and  re-registered  in  July  1987.  Resigned  December  2002.
