This  stud  was  founded  in  1923  by  H.  MacRae  by  the  selection  of  BOONOKE,  F.  No.  7,  blood  ewes  from  the  flock.  These  were  mated  with  a  ram  purchased  from  COBRAN,  NSW,  F.  No.  22.  In  1925,  2  rams  were  leased  from  COBRAN,  F.  No.  22,  and  from  then  until  1940  only  MULWALA,  F.  No.  62,  rams  were  used.  A  further  COBRAN,  F.  No.  22,  ram  was  obtained  in  1940.  In  1963,  the  stud  was  taken  over  by  a  partnership  trading  as  Ian  MacRae  &  Associates,  the  partners  being  I.  MacRae  and  Eilan  Donan  Pty.  Ltd.  In  1964,  Eilan  Donan  Pty.  Ltd.  purchased  Ian  MacRae's  share  in  the  partnership  and  took  over  the  stud.
