History
This  stud  was  founded  in  July,  1984,  by  P.R.  &  E.J.  Behrend,  trading  as  Darran  Pastoral  Company,  by  the  purchase  of  6  rams  from  POOGINOOK,  F.  No.  788,  and  100  ewes  from  DARRAN,  F.  No.  4005,  which  were  passed  by  official  inspection.  Darran  flock  has  been  selectively  bred  from  BUCKINBAH  lines  for  the  past  twenty  years  till  the  introduction  of  POOGINOOK  rams  in  1978.  Darran  is  the  only  old  daughter  stud  to  Pooginook.  Due  to  the  death  of  P.R.  Behrend  and  extreme  drought  conditions,  Annual  Returns  were  not  supplied  for  1993  and  1994.  Resigned  9/11/2000.
