This  stud  was  founded  in  the  1870s  by  William  Campbell  with  CAMDEN  PARK  ewes  which  were  joined  to  CAMDEN  PARK  and  WARWILLA  rams.  Stanbridge,  Mears  &  Waugh  purchased  CLARE  in  1882  from  William  Campbell  and  continued  the  stud  with  CAMDEN  PARK  and  WARWILLA  rams.  After  acquiring  Gogelderie  Station,  Whitton,  in  1889  CLARE  used  rams  from  that  stud  which  were  WANGANELLA  blood.  At  that  time  other  rams  used  were  from  YATHONG  &  UARDRY.  After  1917,  when  the  Government  resumed  Gogelderie,  only  WANGANELLA  &  ALMA  rams  were  used.  ALMA  was  sold  in  1964  then  WANGANELLA  rams  used  exclusively.  In  1978,  the  original  owner's  great  grandsons  were  taken  into  the  partnership.  In  1990,  196  rams  and  963  ewes  were  approved  by  official  inspection.  Resigned  February  2006.
