This  stud  was  founded  about  1908  by  the  late  Robert  King  by  the  purchase  of  a  number  of  rams  and  ewes  from  CARNGHAM,  Vic,  F.  No.  1281.  Only  CARNGHAM  rams  were  used  until  1920  when  a  Tasmanian  ram  was  obtained.  The  stud  was  taken  over  by  R.W.  King  in  1934.  In  1970,  the  stud  was  sold  by  R.W.  King  to  Geoffrey  R.  King.  In  2008  the  trading  name  changed  to  Gonlin  Pty  Ltd.  In  January  2012,  following  a  restructure  of  ownership,  the  stud  of  354  sheep,  was  passed  to  Sam  King  while  retaining  the  trading  name  Gonlin  Pty  Ltd.  Resigned  March  2014.
